If you knew what I know about the power of giving, you would not let a single meal pass without sharing it in some way. Buddha
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Winston Churchill
This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in. Theodore Roosevelt
I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy. Rabindranath Tagore
We are committed to providing basic education to underprivileged children. We believe that there is no better place to start than in the corridors of education. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life. Means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness to appropriate social behaviour, to understanding one's rights and in the process evolve as a better citizen.
In our endeavour to spread education, we fund and support schools in remote parts of India such as Pirojpura (Gujarat) and Navapur (Maharashtra). The schools support education of underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances and children of poorest of the parents. Special emphasis is given on the girl child education and women’s education, so that they and their families get empowered.
He who has health has hope, and he who has hope has everything. In India access to healthcare still remains a challenge. Urban slum dwellers suffer from adverse health conditions owing to mainly two reasons - first the lack of education and thus the lack of awareness and second the unwillingness to lose a day's wage in order to reach the nearest medical facility. Healthcare for the underprivileged, which is a desperate need, thus remains unaddressed.
In our endeavour to support free healthcare services to the underprivileged strata of the society, we have undertaken many initiatives such as supporting the 'Blind Organisation of India', various Dialysis centres in Mumbai and many more such initiatives both in the urban and rural parts of India.
Nearly 90% of the 1 billion people affected with preventable or treatable blindness live in the developing world. When you donate to effective blindness charities, you are helping give the world - Sight.
Being diagnosed with kidney disease can be devastating for an individual along with their family. Often, the entire lifetime's savings of a family are wiped out in a matter of months or years. Many patients cannot afford this treatment and often end up dying by withdrawing from treatment or taking inadequate treatment to prevent their family's savings from being completely used up in their treatment.
Through our little initiatives, we support patients and their families in mitigating the financial problems that accompany treatment for kidney disease, which is dialysis and the associated medications and investigations.
